«Con Iconica IV si esaurisce una piccola serie involontaria. Si tratta di sei miniature per ensemble ed elettronica in cui prosegue la mia ricerca critica sulle pieghe del linguaggio musicale: ecosistemi sonori scolpiti dove le riflessioni sulla necessità di riconnotare tratti linguistici ormai diventati koiné assumono il ruolo di regolatore dell’atto compositivo stesso. Icone nell’accezione di Pierce: “uno stato che è sempre presente in ogni momento del tempo” e dunque induce chi ascolta a crearsi lui stesso un percorso percettivo stimolando l’abduzione piuttosto che dinamiche deduttive. Non quindi “ricostruire” bensì “scoprire”; ogni icona è una macrofigura in cui il tempo è da conquistare. Icone
quindi per una percezione diretta, per affermare una fase primaria di comunicazione che apra agli imprevisti interrogativi delle memorie. Icone per ricordarsi della necessità dell’anonimato. Questo lavoro è un anti-manifesto.
Il pianoforte è il soggetto principale che solo alla fine viene privato delle lamine d’oro e d’argento che lo coprivano, per rimanere nudo e ibrido, tra sé e quello che ha vissuto e che alla fine lo ha cambiato».

A small and involuntary series ceases with Iconica IV. It is a collection of six miniatures for ensemble and electronics in which I continue my research through the shades of the musical languages. The posture in composing has been regulated by reflections based on the need of the connotation of shared musical approaches, all these gather around scupted sound ecosystems. I tried to reproduce; according to Peirce’s words, the research of a “state which is wholly present in every moment of time”: I tried to not impose a way to perceive the pieces, aiming for freedom in the listening experience, I was looking for the feeling of revelation. Each miniature is a macro-figure in which the time dimension is something to achieve and the space of the scene suggests a recall of memories. The icon represent a call for anonymity; this piece is an anti-manifesto. The main character is the piano, but only at the end it becomes deprived of the golden and silver leaves that were previously covering some parts of it, to remain naked and hybrid at the same time: alone and with what it experienced.
